Hello Everyone.
You are probably wondering what is a Fortenberry? Well, let me share some information so you can have a better understanding by the end of this post. My life has always been faced with challenges but that is how I have grown into the woman I am today. I used to be a felon with a misdemeanor and a strike. After 11 years of thinking my life was never going to evolve into anything I actually changed my mindset. I got my entire criminal history expunged, paid all revenue, and completed probation. I have not attended school in over 14 years. I actually obtained my GED while incarcerated. I am a full-time mother and full-time student. I serve on the student government and work as the Volunteer Coordinator for LBCC. I serve on the Events Task Force and the Linn Benton Lunch Box. I also serve as a member of Zonta International and at Policy Council for my children’s preschool. My past will not define me! My age will not define me! I have won over 7 scholarships and been awarded numerous talent grants. I have a desire to help others and my community. I founded the Parent's Club of LBCC to help advocate for fellow students who are going through similar struggles. My major is Practical Business Management, but my dream is to work for the local sheriff's office.
I hope this gave you a better understanding of what a Fortenberry really is.
